The Irene Association supports all of Greece, reaching every place where there is a genuine need. Through donations to public hospitals, public schools, child protection structures, and social organizations, we improve the daily lives of individuals and communities in every corner of the country.
Who We Are
In 2017, Georgios Georgantas and Georgios Fragkistas, friends and partners, founded the Social Welfare Association “Irene” to establish an institutional framework for the significant philanthropic work they had been carrying out for decades. In April 2021, Georgios Georgantas passed away, and his daughter, Nefeli Georganta, assumed the presidency of the Association.
The Social Welfare Association “Irene” is a purely private and self-funded initiative with full transparency, independent of state funding, aiming for an increasingly significant social impact. Health, Education, Child Protection Units, and Support for Vulnerable Groups are the main pillars of the Association’s activities.
With continuously expanding activities and the motto #WeSupportWithActions, the “Irene” Association focuses on practical initiatives with meaningful impact. Together, we create a better tomorrow for all, with respect and solidarity.
