With great joy, the Eirini Social Care Association celebrated the inauguration of the new playground and renovated outdoor space at the General Children’s Hospital of Athens “P. & A. Kyriakou”. The event marked the completion of a project designed with love and respect for the needs of the children who are hospitalized or visiting the hospital, as well as for their families.

In a safe, bright, and welcoming environment, children can now enjoy moments of play and recreation, providing them with a valuable escape from the demanding daily life of the hospital. The new playground not only enhances the well-being of the children but also allows them to regain a sense of carefreeness, offering them a space of freedom and creativity.

With this project, we replaced the old, impersonal, and unwelcoming space with a brand new one, full of warmth, hope, and color, creating an environment that reflects the needs and rights of children to entertainment, even in difficult circumstances. We continue our work with deep dedication and commitment to children’s care, improving the quality of life for both the hospitalized children and their families.
