Donation of three postgraduate scholarships as part of the “SYN-ENOSIS FOR EDUCATION +100 SCHOLARSHIPS” Program by the Union of Greek Shipowners (UGS).

“IRENE” Association donated three (3) postgraduate scholarships, continuing its annual participation in the “SYN-ENOSIS FOR EDUCATION +100 SCHOLARSHIPS” Program of the Union of Greek Shipowners (UGS). This year, the program was further strengthened, with UGS awarding a total of 110 scholarships. These scholarships support young individuals from across Greece in pursuing postgraduate (pre-doctoral level) studies, either in Greece or abroad, in one- or two-year full-time programs.
This year’s award ceremony took place on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the archaeological site of the Temple of Olympian Zeus. The event was addressed by the Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni.
The names of the three scholarship recipients from “IRENE” Association for Social Welfare are as follows:

  • Yolanda Botsi, a graduate of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Department of Chemical Engineering, was awarded a scholarship for the postgraduate program at King’s College London in the UK, titled “Environmental, Social Governance Management.”
  • Pavlos Tzelepis, a graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Department of History and Archaeology, was awarded a scholarship for postgraduate studies at the Rijksuniversiteit te Leiden in the Netherlands, in the program titled “Middle Eastern Studies.”
  • Sotirios Lytras, a graduate of the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), received a scholarship for the postgraduate program “Technology and Entrepreneur Law” at Cornell University – Ithaca, USA.
