“IRENE” Association, with a strong sense of responsibility towards the flood victims of Karditsa, implemented a comprehensive rehabilitation program following the devastating floods of 2023. Our targeted interventions focused on 10 schools and communities, aiming to support the local society and facilitate its return to normalcy.
Specifically, we undertook the exterior painting of the 3rd Primary School of Palamas, with a total cost of €11,300. Additionally, we donated seven (7) desktop computers along with their peripheral equipment, two (2) laptops, one (1) multifunction device with its consumables, and one (1) bookshelf measuring 8.40m x 2.20m, with a total cost of €5,600. At the same time, we carried out the exterior painting of the General High School of Palamas, with a total cost of €19,500.
However, our efforts were not limited to the aforementioned interventions. As detailed below, we carried out significant donations to the other schools in the affected areas:
- E.E.E.E.K. Sofadon Karditsa: Painting of 1,100 sq.m. of the school’s interior, restoration of six window sills, replacement of iron and wooden doors, donation of a table, and replacement of educational and electronic equipment. Total cost: €13,500.
- Marathea Primary School: Donation of a multifunction device, a laptop, and a tablet, with a total cost of €1,200.
- Proastio Primary School of Karditsa: Donation of a desktop computer with peripheral equipment, valued at €300.
- Special School of Karditsa: Donation of a projector and a laptop, valued at €770.
- Special Kindergarten of Karditsa: Donation of a multifunction device with consumables, valued at €450.
- Kindergarten of Proastio Karditsa: Donation of a multifunction device with consumables, valued at €450.
- Kindergarten of Agia Triada Karditsa: Donation of a desktop computer and a projector, valued at €520.
- Kindergarten of Koskina Karditsa: Donation of a desktop computer, color photocopier, and filing cabinet, with a total value of €1,120.
Through these actions, “IRENE” Association made a significant contribution to the restoration of damages following the devastating floods of September 2023 and to the creation of a renewed and safe environment for the students and communities of the Karditsa region.
