A new beginning with dignity and care for five people.
Five adults with chronic mental health disorders have acquired a warm, functional, and human-centered home through the full furnishing and equipment of the new Protected Apartment ‘ESTIA’ of the Society of Social Psychiatry P. Sakellaropoulos.
The apartment offers to the beneficiaries — three men and two women — a safe living environment and steady psychosocial support. Until recently, the equipment of the previous space was inadequate and severely degraded. The forthcoming relocation to a new, renovated apartment constituted a valuable opportunity to improve the living conditions — an opportunity that should not have been lost.”
The needs of the apartment were fully met in:
-
Electrical appliances (refrigerator, washing machine, dryer, air conditioners),
-
Beds, mattresses, and bedding for all residents,
-
Living room, dining room, outdoor furniture, and bookshelves,
-
Storage furniture and desk.
This intervention ensures an environment that enhances their autonomy and promotes quality of life with dignity.
