Donation to the 3rd Primary School of Palamas, Karditsa

With great pleasure and a strong sense of social responsibility, we successfully completed our donation to the 3rd Primary School of Palamas. The donation included, among other initiatives, the renovation of the school’s outdoor areas and the provision of technological and logistical equipment, contributing to the improvement of the school’s appearance, functionality, and, most importantly, safety. These efforts also helped restore normality to the school community, whose daily life had been severely disrupted by the devastating storm “Daniel.”

The extensive damage caused by the severe weather event in Thessaly created an urgent need to support the affected communities. For this reason, our association launched the “Flood Relief Restoration Program”, focusing on school infrastructure in the Karditsa region. One of the schools selected for extensive renovation was the 3rd Primary School of Palamas, which had been severely affected by Storm Daniel, rendering it unsafe and unsuitable for use by students.

The renovation works included the removal of debris and flood-borne materials, extensive repainting of approximately 1,100 square meters of exterior walls using vibrant colors, maintenance and painting of iron gates, shelters, window grilles, and balcony railings, as well as various repair works and minor interventions wherever necessary.

In addition, we donated seven desktop computers complete with keyboards and mice, two laptops, a multifunction printer with consumables, and a library bookcase to help meet the needs of both students and teachers.

At the “Social Welfare Association Irene”, we believe that creating a safe, clean, and aesthetically enhanced school environment is an investment in the future of our children. For this reason, we actively support initiatives that improve educational conditions and enhance the daily lives of students and educators alike.

We would like to thank the administration of the 3rd Primary School of Palamas for their cooperation and wish that the renovated facilities will provide an even more pleasant and inspiring learning environment for all students.
