There are moments when solidarity is not merely a word, but a necessity. One such moment was experienced by the community of Palamas after the devastating passage of Storm Daniel, which left behind extensive damage, affecting homes, businesses, public infrastructure, and school facilities.
Among the buildings that suffered severe damage was the General High School of Palamas, a place that nurtures the dreams, aspirations, and future of hundreds of young people. The image of a school striving to return to normality after such a major natural disaster served as a powerful motivation for our association to take action and include this school in our Flood Relief Restoration Program.
Driven by a strong sense of social responsibility and a firm belief that education deserves tangible support, we proceeded with the funding and implementation of extensive restoration, maintenance, and exterior repainting works throughout the school complex.
The project included the complete repainting of 2,010 square meters of exterior surfaces, the maintenance and painting of 16 iron doors, the restoration and refurbishment of window railings, plastering and repair works, as well as the procurement of all necessary materials required for the successful completion of the project. Due to the considerable height of the building, specialized scaffolding was installed to ensure that all works were carried out safely and to the highest technical standards.
For us, this donation represents far more than a construction project. It is both a symbolic and meaningful contribution to the recovery and renewal of a region that has endured significant hardship. Every freshly painted wall, every restored surface, and every improvement made to the school facilities conveys a message of hope—that the wounds left by disaster can heal when society stands together.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the administration and teaching staff of the General High School of Palamas for their excellent cooperation. We hope that the renovated facilities will provide an even more attractive, safe, and functional environment for the next generation of the local community.
