Construction is in full swing for the first inclusive playground in the Municipality of Katerini, located in the courtyard of the Creative Activity Center for Children with Disabilities (KDAP AMEA) of the Municipality.

This 300 m² project is designed based on the principles of accessibility and inclusion, ensuring that all children—regardless of ability—can play equally, safely, and without exception.

The implementation of the project is made possible thanks to the vital support of the Municipality of Katerini, which undertook the construction of the required groundwork, and the generous donation of the IRENE Association, which includes:
🔹 Installation of safety flooring
🔹 Supply and installation of accessibility-focused play equipment
🔹 Complete landscaping and configuration of the surrounding space

Inclusion is not just a word—it’s a responsibility and a way of life. Every initiative we undertake aims to make a real difference in people’s everyday lives, fostering acceptance, solidarity, and equality.

This new playground will offer all children the opportunity to enjoy play without obstacles, with full respect for their needs and abilities.

The inauguration ceremony will take place after the project’s completion in June.
