The daily life of an athlete with a disability is not limited to training sessions or competitions – it is a constant struggle for equality, access, and opportunity. The IRENE Association stood by the athletes’ side, covering their needs for the winter semester of 2025, with one goal: to ensure they continue competing, representing, and inspiring without obstacles.
The donation included:

Sports equipment and clothing for the athletes’ training sessions and official events.

Medical certificates necessary for their participation in athletic activities.

Transportation costs for a specially adapted van, to facilitate their participation in training sessions and events.

Keepsakes for the annual awards ceremony honoring the athletes, in recognition of their effort and progress.

Accommodation and transportation expenses for participation in the Panhellenic Athletics Championship in Thessaloniki (for 3 athletes and 1 coach).

Organization of a one-day Boccia event held in March in Athens.

Support for the Anniversary Event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Association.
The contribution of the IRENE Association was essential in allowing Tyrtaios to consistently pursue its mission, steadily offering opportunities for participation, expression, and distinction to young people who choose to see their capabilities rather than their limitations.
