On December 12, 2023, a warm ceremony took place where the administration of Laiko General Hospital honored the Eirini Association for its donation of 18 modern electric hospital beds with accompanying bedside tables to the B’ Vascular Surgery Department of E.K.P.A..

The replacement of the hospital beds, which had been in use since the 1970s, was a longstanding request from both the medical and nursing staff. The Eirini Association responded promptly to this request and carried out the donation.

As Ms. Nefeli Georganta, President of the Eirini Association, stated, the goal of upgrading the beds was to ensure improved healthcare services in better hygienic and safe conditions. She added that with this donation, the Eirini Association promotes equal access to healthcare for all people.

In turn, Mr. Theofanis Roidis, Director of Laiko General Hospital, expressed his gratitude to the Eirini Association for making this second large donation to the hospital in a short period. Finally, Professor Christos Klonaris, Director of the B’ Vascular Surgery Department at Laiko General Hospital, emphasized that the high-level healthcare services offered by the department are now supported by the best and most modern medical equipment.
