The Director of the Institution, Mrs. Georgia Polychronopoulou, shares her message of gratitude for the meaningful intervention of the IRENE Welfare Association.
The completion of the renovation of the sanitary facilities at the Hatzipatereio Social Work Foundation (K.A.S.P.) is a project that goes far beyond infrastructure. It is about daily life, autonomy, dignity, and relief—for the children, the staff, and the Institution itself.
Mrs. Georgia Polychronopoulou emphasized the importance of this contribution, stating:
“The alignment of people with shared values, a spirit of giving, empathy, and a genuine presence by our side has once again proven that what seems difficult can indeed be achieved when there is will and cooperation.”
The project included the complete renovation of the bathrooms as well as the upgrade of the electrical network and lighting, in order to comply with accessibility standards for people with disabilities. The new facilities were designed to facilitate the movement of wheelchairs—even simultaneously in the same space—and to enhance both safety and functionality for all children of the Institution.
