“Say STOP to road insecurity.”
We remind you that: Dimitris Antoniou, at the age of thirty-three, never stops creating, despite the very serious car accident that left him in a wheelchair since he was sixteen. He completed his studies in just four years in the Department of Physics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and continued with postgraduate studies in economic science at the University of Macedonia. He actively participates in scientific and social events to promote road safety in our country. His most recent long-term effort is the inspiration and creation of the comic “Say STOP to Road Insecurity,” which is distributed for free to schools he visits for volunteer activities focusing on traffic education.
He has also written two short story collections titled “This Is Life” and “Let It Be a Dream”, a novel titled “A Better Man”, and an autobiographical book titled “The Art of Optimism”. Additionally, he wrote the script, directed, and participated as an actor in the theatrical performance “At the Best of the Sitting” — a play for which the IRENE Welfare Association was also a sponsor — during the performances held last year at the “Argo” theater in Athens.
