Every big change begins with a simple question:
“How could our school be better?”
An idea that was born at the “Irene” Association, the idea for a pilot program to be implemented for the first time at the Leontarideio Alexandroupolis, which houses the 1st Gymnasium of Alexandroupolis, the Evening Gymnasium, and the Evening Lyceum of Alexandroupolis. A 60-year-old school complex, with outdated facilities both indoors and outdoors that no longer meet all functional and accessibility needs for everyone. Through this program, the school facilities will be significantly renovated based on the suggestions and ideas of teachers and pupils.
The goal for everyone: The school facilities should be aligned with the contemporary standards of our time in order to enhance hygiene and safety, learning and sports, creativity and inspiration.
With the innovative program “The School We Dream Of” – From US, for us – with the support of the “Irene” Association, the idea becomes a reality. The “Irene” Association, with a donation of €100,000, joins forces with the pupils and teachers of Leontarideio in a participatory and innovative project..
