Kyriakou\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201cIrene\u201d Association this Christmas travels with its sleigh, spreading a spirit of joy and love, with children at the heart of its mission.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the occasion of the Christmas contest for schools, the Association\u2019s sleigh made its first stop at eight schools across Greece, offering decoration and craft gifts. The number eight was chosen symbolically, as the \u201cIrene\u201d Association celebrates eight years of activity and social contribution this year. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our next destination is the Association\u2019s big Christmas celebration, where once again our efforts will have children as their main beneficiaries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This Christmas, the \u201cIrene\u201d Association\u2019s sleigh stops at the courtyard of the Athens Children\u2019s General Hospital \u201cP. &amp; A. Kyriakou\u201d for a big celebration, full of joy for children and adults. On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 16:00 to 18:00, we look forward to seeing you all in the hospital\u2019s courtyard to celebrate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The central highlight of our celebration is the lighting and decoration of the hospital courtyard, with the participation of the children, their families, and the staff. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a symbolic act aimed at strengthening the sense of belonging and inclusion, offering a little extra warmth and festive atmosphere even within the hospital environment. The hospital\u2019s courtyard is a new and safe space for the children, redesigned last year by the \u201cIrene\u201d Association. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The celebration program includes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Official greetings <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From the President of the \u201cIrene\u201d Association and the Director of the Athens Children\u2019s General Hospital \u201cP.&amp;A. Kyriakou\u201d.<\/span> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Music program <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the participation of the Army Band, which will provide musical accompaniment for the tree lighting and decoration with Christmas melodies. <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participation of pupils from primary schools <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pupils from primary schools will also participate in the event, including those from the 7th Primary School of Nea Ionia, who will offer handmade Christmas decorations for the hospital\u2019s tree, actively contributing to its decoration and strengthening the connection between the school community and the hospital environment. <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Workshops on psychological empowerment and creative expression <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the participation of: <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2219 Manos Chatzimalonas, Psychologist \u2013 Psychotherapist, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2219 Christos Roumeliotis, Artist \u2013 Painter, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2219 as well as students and instructors from the programs of IEK AKMI. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The workshops will focus on enhancing children\u2019s emotional expression, creativity, and psychological resilience, with respect for their individual needs and abilities. <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Festive buffet <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Which will be provided by IEK AKMI, as part of its collaboration with the \u201cIrene\u201d Association and its practical connection of education with social contribution. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All activities will be carried out in close coordination with the hospital\u2019s administration and medical-nursing staff, fully adhering to the established safety rules and with an emphasis on creating a friendly, accessible, and inclusive environment for all children.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Join us to celebrate and create a warm Christmas atmosphere for those who need it the most: the hospitalized children, their parents, and the hospital\u2019s medical and nursing staff.
