Floor Paintings at the 3rd Primary School of Ioannina

With a strong sense of responsibility and a steadfast commitment to supporting children and young people, the Social Welfare Association “Eirini” carried out another initiative aimed at improving students’ everyday lives.

At the 3rd Primary School of Ioannina, “Maroutseio,” we created 10 floor paintings and interactive games, transforming the schoolyard into a more creative and joyful space. Numbers, hopscotch, a maze, balance games, the alphabet, and movement activities have now become part of the children’s daily routine, giving them the opportunity to combine play with movement and learning.

Because the schoolyard is not simply the space between lessons. It is a place where children play, cooperate, create, and gain valuable everyday experiences. After all, play and creative activities can often serve as an “antidote” to school violence, as students’ energy is channelled into creative and cooperative activities rather than aggressive or violent behaviour.

The children’s smiles and enthusiasm are our greatest reward and our driving force to continue supporting initiatives with a meaningful social impact.

The Social Welfare Association “Eirini” will continue to stand alongside children, supporting initiatives that create better conditions for learning, play, and creativity.

Because sometimes, all it takes is a little colour to transform an entire school break.
