Who we are
The website irene.org.gr belongs to the Irene Social Welfare Association (34 Agiasou St., Vrilissia, 15 235, Greece), which is the controller of the personal data collected through it.
For anything concerning your data, contact us at secretary@irene.org.gr or on +30 210 609 6868.
What data we collect and why
We collect only what you give us and what the site needs in order to work:
- Contact form: first name, last name, email, subject and message, so that we can reply to you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to those who contact us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Newsletter: your email address, so that we can send you the Association's news. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Donation request: when the form is available, first name, last name, email, phone, address, the type and name of your organisation and the description of your request, so that we can consider it and contact you. The legal basis is considering your request before any agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Technical data: like any website, the server logs the IP address, the browser and the pages requested, for the security and proper operation of the site (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Visitor statistics
Only if you allow it, we use Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how the site is used: which pages are read, on what device, and where visitors come from. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can change at any time from the cookie policy.
This data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Map and videos
The map on the contact page (Google Maps) and the videos in our actions (YouTube) load only when you choose to view them. Google then receives your IP address and may store data on your device, under its own privacy policy.
Who has access to your data
Your data is handled only by authorised members of the Association. The site is hosted on servers within the European Union, and is developed and maintained on our behalf by DMU, as a processor. We do not share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
- Contact form messages, for as long as needed to complete our correspondence.
- Your newsletter email address, until you ask to be removed.
- Donation requests, for as long as needed to consider them and, if a donation follows, for as long as the law requires for the Association's records.
- The server's technical logs, for a short period, for security reasons.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, for it to be corrected or erased, for its processing to be restricted or to receive it in a portable format, and you can object to its processing. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting the processing carried out before. For any of these, write to us at secretary@irene.org.gr.
If you believe the processing of your data breaches the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
Cookies
For the cookies and anything else the site stores on your device, see our cookie policy.
Changes to this policy
If the way we process your data changes, we will update this page and the date at its top.
