Library at the 1st Primary School of Skala Oropos and Nea Palatia

With a strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to supporting children and young people, the Social Welfare Association “Eirini” transformed an unused classroom at the 1st Primary School of Skala Oropos and Nea Palatia into a modern library, available to every student at the school. The new library addresses the need for a children’s lending library in the local area.

A classroom that previously had no practical use for the school’s students was transformed into a modern, well-organised, and fully equipped space where children can discover books that spark their interest and travel to worlds that only reading can open up to them.

The sight of the enthusiastic children happily arranging books on the shelves of their new lending library, reading the books they enjoyed, and sharing their thoughts with one another fills us with hope for the future and inspires us to work even harder to support as many initiatives with a meaningful social impact as possible.

The Social Welfare Association “Eirini” will continue to support initiatives that promote education, social cohesion, and equal access to opportunities for learning and creativity. With faith in the power of giving and collective effort, we remain committed to implementing initiatives that leave a positive mark on the local community and contribute to creating a better future for the next generation.

In the video below, you can see how a little care and a splash of colour can transform a space and make it more beautiful and welcoming for children.
